Give A Sweat for Bette

93 degrees, feels like 100+... This can't be good for the body.

We had a few events today, and if you we unfortunate enough to have to run around in this heat, give us the dirt:

Bette Midler/ Robert DeNiro opened a community garden uptown...(give us the dirt...get it? Oh, nevermind..)

Carrie Underwood on Today Show- isn't her 15 minutes up yet?

The Backstreet Boys at Virgin Megastore promoting new album "NEVER GONE" (just forgotten).

Finola Hughes, star of "“All My Children"” and "General Hospital"”, having a 'Pun' time signing copies of Soapsuds on Madison Ave.

I was one of 8 or so sweating with Bette. It a word-it stunk! PR did not do their job but once again told us "you will all get the shot." HA! We were all orderly and polite behind the velvet rope and then Bette's "personal photographer," this super tall woman who was at least 6 feet tall with a bracket that was equally as tall didn't seem to care that she was in our way-specifially MY way. All she kept saying to us was "I am Bette's personal photographer." Why is it that certain "personal photographers" MUST stand directly in front of us, totally blocking our shot. To me, this is an insecure move-to stand there the entire time, even when they are not shooting.
The highlight was giving 4 other shooters a ride to the subway, and taking a wrong turn and ending up on Randall's Island. It was way more visual than the back of "Bette's personal photographer."

it's part of the "job" isn't it? not every event is going to be stocked full with sell-able celebs. those are the choices THEY made. remember: some photogs are assigned to these events and MUST go. respect that.
